Ballyphehane SEC

The Ballyphehane Sustainable Energy Community (SEC) group was formed by the Ballyphehane Community Association in 2020. It is part of the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) SEC network.

Ballyphehane EMP

The Ballyphehane Energy Masterplan (EMP) was completed in early 2022.

The Ballyphehane EMP is the first to be completed in Cork City.

Ballyphehane Sustainable Energy Community (SEC), in partnership with Ballyphehane Community Association, announced today the launch of its Energy Master Plan (EMP) which was commissioned to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable future for Ballyphehane and its population. The Energy Master Plan presents an overall vision and direction for the local area with the aim to reduce energy demand, power the community with renewable sources of energy, and stimulate domestic retrofitting. The Ballyphehane Community SEC is hosting an information evening on 31st May 2022 at 7.30pm in the Ballyphehane Community Centre and would encourage all local residents and businesses to attend to learn more about opportunities and benefits of retrofits for private households.
